MotorSignal is an informational telemetry instrumentation tool. Operating a motorcycle involves inherent danger. Riders assume all operational and legal risks and are solely responsible for compliance with local traffic statutes, speed limits, and road regulations.
Terms of Service & Telemetry Covenant
Legally binding parameters governing the acquisition, processing, high-g spatial telemetry, and closed-circuit dynamics logs captured via MotorSignal mobile applications and multi-node hardware transceivers.
Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By mounting, docking, initializing, installing, or accessing the MotorSignal mobile heads-up display (HUD), Cloud Telemetry Portal, or RF Sub-Gigahertz Mesh Communication Nodes ("Hardware & Software Ecosystem"), you acknowledge an unconditional, legally binding agreement with MotorSignal Dynamics Corp. ("MotorSignal").
Eligibility is restricted exclusively to individuals who hold a valid, active operator's license with appropriate motorcycle endorsements in their respective jurisdiction and who have attained the legal age of majority (minimum 18 years of age, or 21 in select commercial test regions). Unauthorized access, reverse-engineering of firmware registers, or spoofing 20Hz Kalman GPS synchronization streams constitutes an immediate and irrevocable revocation of operating privileges.
This agreement covers all real-time 100Hz IMU lean-angle computation, brake-bias pressure interpolation, local packet meshes, and satellite-uplink synchronization channels operated under standard or racing telemetry protocol stacks.
Motorsport Risk & Express Assumption
MOTORCYCLE OPERATION IS AN ULTRA-HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY INVOLVING RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, PERMANENT IMPAIRMENT, OR FATALITY.
You acknowledge and explicitly accept that dynamic physical forces—including loss of tire surface traction, high-side and low-side ejections, gravel, oil spills, changing weather conditions, blind radiuses, brake fade, and abrupt maneuvers by third-party motorists—exist independently of, and cannot be mitigated by, telemetric displays or predictive safety audio queues.
MotorSignal telemetry displays are auxiliary observation instruments only. You agree that your physical vision, environmental appraisal, situational discretion, and mechanical command over your vehicle remain non-delegable personal duties. You waive all claims against MotorSignal resulting from collision incidents during public transit or track operation.
Closed-Course Performance Launch Mode
The MotorSignal application provides acceleration performance tracking interfaces—including the 0–60 MPH, 0–100 KM/H, 1/8-mile, and 1/4-mile drag timer modules ("Launch Analytics").
MANDATORY TRACK USE ENFORCEMENT: Launch Analytics are engineered and licensed strictly for sanctioned racing facilities, drag strips, and closed courses with physical runoff barriers. Activating Launch Analytics on municipal streets, interstate freeways, or public highways violates this agreement and terminates platform support. MotorSignal disclaims all liability for civil violations, misdemeanor reckless driving penalties, or vehicular impoundment resulting from illicit acceleration tests.
FIM/AMA homologated racing circuits, enclosed dynamometer rooms, and sanctioned private airstrips with medical personnel stationed.
Any public arterial roadway, residential thoroughfare, shared carpool corridor, or non-sanctioned canyon pass.
Telemetry Data Sovereignty & Rider IP
MotorSignal upholds absolute rider data sovereignty. You own all raw IMU metrics, pitch-and-roll coordinates, GPS waypoints, suspension displacement logs, throttle-position traces, and apex thermal records generated by your vehicle ("Rider Telemetry Logs").
By enabling Cloud Sync, you grant MotorSignal a worldwide, royalty-free license solely to transmit, encrypt, format, and render your telemetry logs within your authenticated account console, or within designated pack riders whom you authorize via peer-to-peer mesh tokens. MotorSignal does NOT monetize, sell, or disclose personal telemetry sets to vehicle insurance carriers or advertising exchanges without explicit cryptographic opt-in consent.
Third-Party APIs & Radar Integrations
MotorSignal interoperates with external data feeds, including community hazard streams, OpenWebNinja interfaces, and third-party municipal road APIs ("Third-Party Feeds").
MotorSignal provides zero guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, speed, or continuity of third-party radar cameras, mobile speed trap coordinates, red-light surveillance points, or active road construction notices. Third-party feeds may undergo unexpected deprecation, latency surges, or geographical outages. Reliance on auxiliary hazard banners for enforcement avoidance is strictly at the operator's personal risk.
Subscription & Pro Tier Renewals
Access to high-frequency 20Hz satellite positioning, dual-camera synchronization, and long-range Mesh Hub pairing requires an active MotorSignal Pro Tier subscription.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the close of each billing cycle unless revoked 24 hours prior via the Cloud Portal settings. Pro-rated refunds are not granted for partial cycle expirations, though access persists until the expiration of the purchased calendar interval.
Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE STATUTE:
Under no circumstances shall MotorSignal Dynamics Corp., its engineering officers, track affiliates, or hardware partners be liable for incidental, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages, vehicular damage, engine seizures, tire blowouts, loss of life, or personal physical injury resulting from the usage or inability to use the telemetric software or hardware modules.
In all cases, MotorSignal's aggregate, combined liability across all causes of action shall be strictly limited to the total sum of subscription fees actually paid by the rider to MotorSignal during the twelve (12) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability.
Hardware Sensor Calibration Warranty
Physical hardware transceivers, OBD-II CAN-bus taps, and bar-mounted display units are provided with a one (1) year limited hardware warranty against defect in materials and craftsmanship.
Thermal sensor accuracy and IMU angular calibration may degrade when subjected to engine vibrations exceeding 50G RMS, high-pressure water blasting directly onto silicone seals, or improper mounting torques outside our 4.5Nm specifications. Operators are solely responsible for executing the pre-ride calibration check before track sessions.
