### 3.2 Device Session Revocation Test Fidelity & Backend Status
- **Backend Implementation Reality (`backend/motorsignal_api/app/main.py`):**
  - Backend session revocation is **fully implemented** in FastAPI:
    - `DELETE /api/v1/auth/sessions/{session_id}` (lines 774–784) verifies authorization, sets `session.revoked_at`, and publishes an `auth.session_revoked` audit event.
    - `POST /api/v1/auth/logout-all` (lines 787–795) revokes all active sessions for the current user.
  - Next.js API route `website/app/api/account/sessions/[sessionId]/route.ts` forwards client requests directly to `${MOTORSIGNAL_API_BASE_URL}/api/v1/auth/sessions/${sessionId}`.
  - The feature is **NOT missing or unimplemented** in production source code.
- **Execution Reality in QA:**
  - No FastAPI backend was running during the browser QA session (port 8000 was Docker, without an active python/uvicorn process).

  - In an OS process termination, all memory heaps and in-memory databases are destroyed. A true restart requires re-reading from disk (`motorsignal.sqlite` and Android XML shared preferences).
  - The fixture uses `MockClient` for HTTP PUT and `_IsolatedContractSyncProvider`. Zero traffic reaches Cloudflare R2 or Firebase.
- **Architectural Observation vs Feature Requirement:**
  - **Distributed Two-Phase Commit (2PC):** Multi-cloud atomicity across Cloudflare R2 and Google Cloud Firestore is an **architectural observation**, not an outstanding or missing feature requirement. The production design deliberately employs safe sequential writes: R2 telemetry bundles must upload successfully before Firestore ride records are created/updated. If R2 fails, Firestore is never touched; if Firestore subsequently fails, the durable `SyncOutbox` retries the Firestore transaction idempotently using stable `cloudRideId`.
- **Resolution:** `prefs` and `db` in the fixture are **100% in-memory**. The fixture proves Dart state machine logic, queue ordering, and retry idempotency, but is classified as **simulated integration contract testing**, not proof of OS process termination or live cloud provider synchronization.
